The Neighborhood Children's Sports League has been in existence since 1958 in the city of Milwaukee. Since the beginning, participation has increased to over 500 youths participates in tackle football, and those numbers are steadily increasing year after year.
For tackle football, NCSL uses a combination of the NCAA rules and a set of "home grown" modified rules to govern play within the league.
NCSL operates under three eligible "age" brackets. Eligibility to play is determined by a strict age/weight scale to ensure safe and balanced competition. We use a birthday of "on or before July 31st of the current year" to determine a player's eligibility for a respective bracket.
